Job summary

Randstad is recruiting an Accounts Payable Officer for a NSW government organisation based in Dee Why, NSW. The role is a temp contract until 14 January 2028 with hybrid working flexibility.

You will manage invoices, payment runs, and creditor reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with policies and legislation. Strong data entry, document management, and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience with computerized accounts payable systems and document management.
• Data entry and handling enquiries via phone, mail, email, and in person.

Responsibilities

• Process and scan invoices, credit notes, reimbursements, refunds, grants, and Councillor payments in line with policies.
• Prepare and verify EFT and BPAY payment runs for timely disbursements.
• Perform creditor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process corporate card transactions using ExpenseMe.
• Deliver customer-centric support and collaborate across Council teams to improve service delivery.
• Maintain vendor masterfile and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in documenting and improving Accounts Payable procedures and controls.
