Job summary

Job Q is seeking a Payment Officer (Accounts Payable) for an educational institution in Camperdown, NSW, on a 12-month temporary contract with hybrid working flexibility.

The role involves processing invoices, reconciling ledgers, and resolving vendor queries using SAP Ariba. You will maintain records in line with policy and collaborate across teams to ensure accurate, timely payments.

Qualifications

• Background in core AP processing with high-accuracy data entry.
• Proficiency with SAP Ariba ERP system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process all invoices accurately in accordance with policy and Procure-to-Pay guidelines.
• Perform journal transfers, general ledger entries, statement reconciliations and analyses.
• Triaging and resolving complex accounts payable and invoice issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance and records in line with standards, legislation and deadlines.
• Provide proactive feedback to improve AP workflows and processes.
• Support team during high-volume periods to ensure timely payments and services.
• Deliver service to internal stakeholders and external vendors with clear communication.
