Job summary

GENERAL AUSTRALIA is seeking an HVAC Technical Customer Support Specialist based in Sydney, with options to work from other Australian offices. You will blend technical support, troubleshooting, warranty and service operations while remaining connected to field and workshop environments.

The role offers a practical pathway away from tools, with training, and exposure to service operations, product development and customer care across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualifications.
• Current ARCtick licence.
• Supervisor or Contractors licence.
• Customer service experience.
• Relevant industry and field experience.
• Strong technical and product knowledge.
• Good computer skills.
• Logical and practical approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine customer focus and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to trade and retail customers.
• Assist with customer complaints and technical enquiries.
• Support service agents with repairs and service requirements.
• Assist with warranty claims, warranty parts and labour claims.
• Support spare parts personnel with technical information and order requirements.
• Attend service calls and commissioning activities for training.
• Assist in the workshop where required.
• Provide limited product installation support.
• Assist with developing training materials and training service agents.
• Keep product and technical knowledge up to date.
• Prepare service reports and provide feedback on product issues.
• Assist with developing service procedures and processes.
• Support field service claims and spare parts orders.
• Identify and report persistent or unusual technical issues.
