Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning Australia is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant in Queensland. You will blend HVAC technical knowledge with consultative selling to support product selections, influence specifications and help win project opportunities.

With a strong field focus, collaborate with the Commercial and Inventory teams, maintain CRM records and drive tender outcomes while meeting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (or HVAC trade certificate) is required.
• At least two years’ experience in technical sales, consulting or HVAC-focused roles.
• Experience preparing quotations and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a structured call cycle with consultant engineering firms and project account holders across Queensland.
• Build and nurture relationships with consultant engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, builders, developers and other commercial stakeholders.
• Provide accurate technical selections, product advice and timely responses to project enquiries.
• Influence MHI brand and model specification in tender documents and recommend MHIAA solutions where competitors are specified.
• Deliver technical sales presentations, training sessions and lunch-and-learns to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support tender and quotation activity, including preparing e-solution files and high-quality submissions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, develop new relationships and implement initiatives that increase project opportunities and improve win rates.
• Coordinate project timing, drawdown and delivery requirements with mechanical contractors and the Technical Sales Manager.
