Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support Stockland’s national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centers, logistics facilities, and land lease communities. You will service, diagnose, and maintain air conditioning and ventilation systems across multiple sites, ensuring safety and compliance while supporting resident wellbeing.

You will hold Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) and Electrical Work Licence, with experience across split, ducted, and commercial HVAC systems,

Qualifications

• Requires Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) issued by Australian Refrigeration Council (ARCtick Licence)
• Electrical Work Licence (Restricted or Full)
• Proven experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience across split, ducted, and commercial HVAC systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Background in commercial/industrial settings; installation/commissioning experience is desirable

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems across multiple business centres
• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise disruption
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain system efficiency
• Install and commission split systems, ducted air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as required
• Monitor and maintain indoor air quality and temperature control for resident wellbeing
• Ensure all work complies with Australian standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements (including refrigerant handling)

Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high quality services at scale.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified HVAC Technician to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, with multiple sites to support across the area.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems across multiple business centres
• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to ensure minimal disruption
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain system efficiency and reliability
• Install and commission split systems, ducted air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as required

What You'll Bring

• Experience with installation and commissioning of HVAC systems (desirable)
• Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
• Working with Children's Check - mandatory
