Job summary

Downer is inviting applications to join the permanent workforce as a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician at RAAF Base - Richmond. You will maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC systems, and collaborate with trades to support base operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and NSW Refrigeration licences, with ARCTick handling desirable. A Defence security clearance eligibility and a valid driver's licence are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is required.
• ARCTick Refrigerant Handling licence desirable.
• NSW Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Carry out refrigerant handling in accordance with ARCTick licensing obligations.
• Provide professional and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and subcontracts to support operational delivery.

What You'll Do

• Perform scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Carry out refrigerant handling in accordance with ARCTick licensing obligations
• Provide professional and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with other trades and subcontracts to support operational delivery

What You'll Bring

• Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• ARCTick Refrigerant Handling licence (desirable)
• NSW Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence
• Post-trade experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC maintenance
• Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems
• Current Open Drivers Licence
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory)
