Downer invites applications for a permanent Dual Trade Electrician/Refrigeration Tech to support base and estate services across ACT. The role focuses on electrical and refrigeration maintenance, diagnostics, safety, and client service on Defence sites.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (preferred).
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
• Current Open Drivers Licence.
• White Card.
• First Aid, CPR/LVR.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on electrical and refrigeration systems, plant and equipment.
• Perform diagnostic, testing and commissioning to ensure systems meet operation and compliance standards.
• Identify, assess and contract hazards associated with electrical and refrigeration work.
• Provide professional, responsive customer serviced to Defence site staff.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on work progress, issues and completion.

Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.
