Job summary

Downer invites applications for a permanent Refrigeration/HVAC Technician role at RAAF Base Amberley. You will maintain and repair refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems, ensure refrigerant handling compliance and collaborate with trades to support base operations.

The role requires a Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, a current open Driver Licence and the ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• ARCTick refrigerant handling licence (desirable).
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence (QLD).
• Post-trade experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC maintenance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Carry out refrigerant handling in accordance with ARCTick licensing obligations.
• Provide professional and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and subcontracts to support operational delivery.
