Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced HVAC Site Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of mechanical projects across Sydney. You will work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and builders to keep projects running smoothly and on schedule.
Ideal candidates bring broad mechanical/HVAC construction knowledge, strong people-management and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades.
An established and growing Sydney mechanical contractor is looking for an experienced HVAC Site Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of mechanical projects across Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, privately owned HVAC business delivering approximately $15m-$20m of work annually, with a strong pipeline of commercial and residential mechanical projects generally ranging from $500k to $5m. The business operates with a close-knit team of approximately 30 people and has built a strong reputation around technical capability, project delivery and long-term client relationships. Culture is important here. They are looking for someone who is technically capable but equally approachable, communicative and comfortable working as part of a close team. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. You will be highly visible across the company's projects, working closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and builders to ensure projects run smoothly.
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day site delivery of multiple mechanical/HVAC projects. You will act as a key link between the company's Project Managers and site teams, identifying and resolving issues at site level before they become larger project problems.
The most important requirement is broad mechanical/HVAC construction knowledge. We are not looking for someone whose experience has been limited exclusively to ductwork or sheet metal installation. You should understand how the complete mechanical system comes together on a construction project, with exposure across areas such as: Refrigeration, Chilled-water systems and pipework, Condenser-water systems, Ductwork and ventilation, AHUs and FCUs, VRV/VRF and packaged equipment, Mechanical electrical interfaces, BMS and controls, Testing and commissioning, Mechanical construction sequencing and coordination. You may already be working as a Mechanical Site Manager, or you could be an experienced HVAC Site Supervisor ready to step into a broader Site Manager position. A trade background in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. What matters more is your ability to understand the complete mechanical package and confidently manage its delivery on site.
You will ideally have:
This is an opportunity to join a successful mechanical contractor where you will have genuine responsibility and direct access to senior management. The business is large enough to deliver substantial $500k-$5m mechanical projects, but remains small enough that good people have a real impact on how projects and the wider business perform. You will join a friendly, close-knit environment where people communicate openly, work collaboratively and are trusted to take ownership. If you're an experienced HVAC Site Supervisor who feels ready to step up, or an established Mechanical Site Manager looking for a business where you can take greater ownership, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
