Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC projects in Brisbane from start to finish. The role involves overseeing programming, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, with a strong focus on delivering projects on time, on budget and to specification.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical trade or engineering background, proven experience managing $1M+ projects, and solid knowledge of HVAC systems, Australian Standards and WHS.

Qualifications

• HVAC/Mechanical Project Manager with strong commercial HVAC project experience.
• Mechanical trade or engineering background required.
• Experience managing projects from $1M+ through to larger-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation and construction methodology.
• Proven budgeting, programming and cost-control experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS and quality requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Southern Suburbs Brisbane | $150,000 – $180,000 + Package

Lead Commercial HVAC Projects from Start to Finish

Our client is an established and growing mechanical services contractor with a strong presence across Queensland and a long-standing reputation within the commercial HVAC and building services sector.

With a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join their Brisbane team and take ownership of projects from commencement through to completion.

The business delivers a broad range of HVAC and mechanical solutions across Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Industrial and Educational.

The Role:

Reporting into the senior management team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of HVAC projects, managing everything from programming and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage HVAC projects from commencement through to completion
• Take ownership of project budgets, programmes and commercial outcomes
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams
• Manage procurement, variations, forecasting and cost control

About You:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional who can confidently manage projects and communicate effectively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an HVAC / Mechanical Project Manager
• Strong commercial HVAC project experience
• A mechanical trade or engineering background
• Experience managing projects from $1M+ through to larger-scale projects
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation and construction methodology
• Proven experience managing budgets, programmes and variations
• Strong subcontractor and supplier management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, WHS and quality requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
