Job summary

D&E Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the HVAC service department across Victoria. You will drive performance by uniting people, operations and customer relationships to deliver exceptional service outcomes.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Service, you will oversee service operations, lead senior contract managers, supervisors and technicians, and champion safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Service Manager or similar leadership role within HVAC, mechanical services or building services.
• Experience leading teams, managing service operations and driving performance across multiple functions.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management, cost control and performance reporting.
• Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Well-developed organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative leadership style that develops teams and drives results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing service team in Victoria, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day service operations, scheduling and service delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage escalations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance and drive profitability with quality standards.
• Champion workplace health and safety and ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse service data and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Lead contract negotiations, service agreements and risk management.
