Qualifications

• NSW Electrical Contractor Licence required.

• ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence required.
• Extensive experience in residential emergency, service and maintenance HVAC and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of residential HVAC technicians and electricians
• Providing technical direction on emergency, complex and escalated HVAC and electrical jobs
• Conducting regular field visits, ride-alongs and workmanship inspections
• Monitoring technician performance, productivity, workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Coaching technicians on fault diagnosis, quoting, customer communication and job performance
• Ensuring all work complies with NSW regulations, Australian Standards, safety requirements and company procedures
• Improving quality assurance while reducing defects, complaints and call-backs
• Managing escalated customer concerns and delivering practical resolutions
• Monitoring team KPIs and holding technicians accountable for their performance
• Supporting technician recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training

Ready to step off the tools and lead a high-performing HVAC and electrical team?

We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Electrical Supervisor to lead, coach and support a team of residential HVAC technicians and electricians across Sydney.

This is a field-focused leadership position—not a full-time tools role. You will work closely with technicians and operations to improve performance, maintain workmanship standards, ensure compliance and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

To be considered, you must have:

• NSW Electrical Contractor Licence
• NSW Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Licence or Certificate
• ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Extensive experience in residential emergency, service and maintenance HVAC and electrical work

The Role

As HVAC & Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of residential HVAC technicians and electricians
• Providing technical direction on emergency, complex and escalated HVAC and electrical jobs
• Conducting regular field visits, ride-alongs and workmanship inspections

About You

We are looking for a proven HVAC and electrical leader—not simply an experienced tradesperson. You understand residential emergency, service and maintenance work, make sound decisions under pressure and know how to develop technicians into confident, accountable and high-performing professionals.

You combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness, clear communication and a genuine commitment to outstanding customer service.

In addition to the mandatory licensing and industry experience outlined above, you will bring:

• Previous experience supervising, leading or mentoring HVAC technicians and electricians
• Strong knowledge of NSW electrical, air-conditioning and refrigeration regulations
• Strong knowledge of relevant compliance requirements and Australian Standards
• Advanced electrical and HVAC fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
• The confidence to provide clear technical direction on complex jobs
• Experience managing technician KPIs, productivity, workmanship and customer satisfaction
• The ability to coach technicians on quoting, communication and overall job performance
• A strong understanding of quality assurance and call-back reduction
• Excellent leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills
• The confidence to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive culture
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• A current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence
• A professional, solutions-focused attitude with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement

This position requires genuine residential emergency, service and maintenance experience. Candidates whose experience is limited solely to construction or major commercial projects will not be suitable.
