Job summary

RFTN & Mechanical Air Pty Limited in Padstow, Sydney, is seeking a Senior Service & Maintenance Technician to work across a range of commercial sites. You’ll diagnose faults, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and repair HVAC systems including split systems, ducted and VRF/VRV units.

You’ll report to the Service Manager and collaborate with the Service Coordinator, sharing knowledge, documenting service work accurately and upholding safety and quality across busy sites.

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s licence and white card.
• Strong commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience.
• Experience with fault finding and diagnostics.
• Experience working on commercial air conditioning systems.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance.
• Ability to complete service reports and job documentation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

RFTN & Mechanical Air Pty Limited is a growing HVAC company based in Padstow, Sydney, with a team of 20 people across our Service & Maintenance and Installation divisions.

Our Service & Maintenance team looks after a diverse range of commercial clients, includingRSL clubs, pubs, commercial properties and large-scale student accommodation. We’re a busy, hands-on business and we’re looking for an experiencedSenior HVAC Technicianto join our Service & Maintenance team.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and is confident dealing directly with clients while working through complex service and maintenance issues.

You’ll be working closely with our Service Manager and Service Coordinator, with the support of the wider team behind you.

The Role

As a Senior Service & Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for attending a range of commercial sites across Sydney to carry outplanned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding, repairs and general HVAC service work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending commercial sites to diagnose and rectify HVAC faults
• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
• Fault finding across a range of commercial air conditioning and mechanical services equipment
• Servicing and repairing split systems, package units, VRF/VRV systems, ducted systems and other commercial HVAC equipment
• Identifying issues and providing practical solutions to clients
• Carrying out repairs and component replacements where required
• Completing service reports and job documentation accurately
• Providing clear feedback to the Service Manager and office team
• Communicating professionally with clients and site representatives
• Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional work environment
• Assisting less experienced technicians and sharing your knowledge where requiredWorking as part of the wider Service & Maintenance team to keep jobs moving

Experience & Qualifications

You will ideally have:

• Current Australian driver’s licence & white card
