Peabody seeks an Electrical Leading Hand at the Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture mine complex near Mackay. You will supervise electrical maintenance across mobile and field equipment and provide hands-on guidance to the electrical crew.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will drive safety, schedule work, manage SAP work orders, and lead by example to improve reliability and efficiency in a demanding open-cut mining environment.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Leading Hand at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) - Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets. With the addition of the Moorvale South extension, CMJV continues to expand its coal production capabilities.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this frontline leadership role is responsible for supporting and supervising electrical maintenance activities across mobile and field equipment. You will provide technical guidance to the electrical crew, contribute to equipment reliability and availability, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with site requirements.
This position is offered on a 7/7 day shift roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or salary sacrificed FIFO lifestyle. Employees residing locally may be eligible for a $15,000 housing allowance.
The successful candidate will hold a Queensland Electrical Fitter/Electrical Mechanic qualification and have experience in an open cut mining maintenance environment. You will also have:
