Job summary

Peabody is seeking a High Voltage Electrician for its Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture mine complex. The role focuses on maintenance of mobile mining equipment and fixed plant, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, and ensuring safety and compliance across site.

Ideal candidates will hold a QLD Electrical Licence, have open-cut mining maintenance experience, and demonstrate strong safety records with PLC/SCADA and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• QLD Electrical Licence and open-cut mining maintenance experience.
• Experience with mobile equipment such as draglines, P&H electric rope shovels, Liebherr T282 and Hitachi EH4000.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use SAP for work management.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to site safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintenance on mobile mining equipment and fixed plant infrastructure.
• Prioritise work to meet required standards and timeframes.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment and participate in shift changes/meetings.
• Actively engage in the Peabody Continuous Improvement Program.
