Job summary

Peabody seeks an Electrical Leading Hand at the Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture mine complex near Mackay. You will supervise electrical maintenance across mobile and field equipment and provide hands-on guidance to the electrical crew.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will drive safety, schedule work, manage SAP work orders, and lead by example to improve reliability and efficiency in a demanding open-cut mining environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Queensland Electrical Fitter/Electrical Mechanic qualification.
• Experience in open-cut mining maintenance environment.
• High Voltage Switching qualifications.
• Coal Mining Supervisor competencies RIICOM301 RIIOHS301 RIIRIS301.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical maintenance across mobile and field equipment.
• Provide technical guidance for fault finding, inspections, repairs and installations.
• Execute electrical maintenance activities per site procedures and safety requirements.
• Manage SAP work orders and defect notifications.
• Lead by example to promote safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
