Job summary

Vestas in Australia seeks an Electrical Site Supervisor to lead HV works on wind farm projects. You will oversee HV switching, safety documentation, and coordinate electrical contractors and HV Authorized Persons on site.

The role requires strong safety focus, stakeholder liaison, and ability to manage pre-commissioning, HV commissioning, and QA/QC submissions, with reporting to Melbourne-based commissioning manager.

Qualifications

• Electrical License Unrestricted is required.
• TAFE or post-graduate qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills expected.
• Extensive knowledge of large-scale plant construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage all HV works for Wind Farm as HV Responsible Officer (HVRO).
• Produce switching program and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation.
• Facilitate a safe working environment during high voltage works.
• Witness inspections and tests of electrical components and infrastructure (incl. FATs).
• Report on progress of inspections/tests and QA/QC submissions.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address technical queries.
