Job summary

Airswift is recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor on a major wind farm project in Georgetown, South Australia. This on-site role oversees electrical construction, energisation and commissioning across HV/MV assets, substations and SCADA interfaces, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The ideal candidate has extensive site-based electrical experience on large infrastructure projects, strong capability in contractor oversight and documenting progress against plans.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of HV/MV systems, underground reticulation and cabling, earthing, substations or switchyards, protection and control, SCADA, testing, commissioning, energisation and handover.
• Ability to inspect electrical works, witness tests, identify defects and maintain records.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, ITPs, work packs, RFIs, non-conformances and as-built docs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site-based electrical representative, overseeing construction, installation, testing, energisation, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, contracts, ITPs and standards.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces across generation assets, substations, transmission systems, commissioning teams and contractors.
• Support safe work practices for HV activities, including permit-to-work, isolation, and energisation processes.
• Escalate safety, quality, technical, schedule and commercial concerns to project leadership.
