United Rentals is hiring an HSEQ Advisor for NSW/ACT/SA to partner with leaders and staff, providing technical expertise, guidance, and training to ensure safe and sustainable operations. You will monitor compliance, lead audits, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

The role requires a Certificate IV/Diploma in WHS (or higher) with ICAM, First Aid/CPR and White Card, plus 5 years’ experience in high-risk industries.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV/Diploma in WHS (or higher) with ICAM investigation experience.
• First Aid/CPR and Construction Industry White Card.
• 5 years’ experience in equipment hire, construction, or similar high‑risk industries.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO management systems.
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder‑influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Lead and participate in internal inspections and audits, including reporting and corrective actions.
• Assist branch managers in maintaining risk registers and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Assist with the implementation, review and auditing of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
• Support development and review of SWPs and SWMS.
• Influence operational staff to standardise procedures, drive efficiency and safety.
