HSEQ Advisor – Regional NSW (WHS & Risk)

Job summary

CDC Regional NSW invites applications for an HSEQ Advisor based at one of the Queanbeyan, Coffs Harbour or Ballina Depots, with reporting lines to the RNSW General Manager and the HSEQ General Manager in QLD. The role focuses on applying WHS legislation, developing risk assessments, and supporting audit activities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work across multiple depots, engage with all levels of the organisation, and may travel to depots or on buses as required.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting, advising and applying WHS legislation.
• Working knowledge of WHS and industry best practices, and Work Health & Safety.
• Experience in the writing/development of risk assessments.
• Experience with facilitating WHS audits & inspections.
• Ability to monitor and review health & safety documentation, practices for compliance with policies/procedures/guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and implement change.
• Skilled to investigate, research and analyse information to create policy and/or procedures.
• HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (Desirable, training provided)
• TLIF0005 – Apply a fatigue risk management system (Desirable, training provided)
• ICAM or equivalent Incident Management Training Qualification (Desirable, training provided)
• Working knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations (Desirable, training provided)
