As an HSEQ Advisor – NSW, ACT, & SA you will partner with operational leaders, branch managers, and field staff across our rental brands to provide technical expertise, guidance, and training that ensures safe and sustainable operations. You will monitor compliance, lead audits, manage risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across our business.
Monitor and ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Lead and participate in internal inspections and audits, including reporting and corrective actions.
Assist branch managers in maintaining and updating risk registers and implementing mitigation strategies.
Assist with the implementation, review and auditing of management systems to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Support the development and review of internal documents, SWPs, and SWMS.
Influence operational staff to standardise procedures, drive efficiency, and deliver excellent customer service.
Report on key HSEQ performance metrics and emerging risks, recommending actions as required.
Participate in HSEQ training, coaching, and induction programs.
Work collaboratively across teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
You will hold a Certificate IV/Diploma in WHS (or higher), with ICAM investigation, First Aid/CPR and Construction Industry White Card.
5 years’ experience in equipment hire, construction, or similar high-risk or heavy industries.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental practices, CoR and NHVL.
Experience in implementing, reviewing, and auditing ISO management Systems and hold an Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification in Integrated Management Systems.
Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, internal audits and return-to-work processes.
Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder-influencing skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and HSEQ systems.
Highly safety-focused, detail-oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Professional, customer-focused and committed to continuous improvement.
Desirable: Mental Health First Aider, Lead/Internal Auditor, and a current C-class driver’s licence.
