Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a proactive HR Services Officer within the HR Services Team. The role delivers a full suite of admin HR functions and supports processing of HR documentation across the university.

You will use analytical skills and attention to detail to resolve complex HR requests from across the university, ensuring service levels and client satisfaction are met in a large, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering transactional services in a large organisation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional process improvements.
• Experience working in high-volume environments with tight SLAs.
• Capability in preparing employment contract variations for multiple roles.
• Good knowledge of HR policies and Awards for compliant solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client queries.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute HR transactions across employee lifecycle or job changes.
• Provide high-quality HR guidance to managers and employees.
• Identify issues and implement process improvements to increase satisfaction.
• Review, prepare and issue employee documentation such as contracts.
• Advise staff on application of University policies and frameworks.
