This is a hands-on HR Co-ordinator role based in Sydney. You'll be the first person employees come to with HR questions, and the person who keeps the People & Culture team running day to day.
You'll need to be comfortable with fast pace, and happy to suggest better ways of doing things when you spot them.
You'll report to the HR Manager and work alongside a small, practical People team.

Day in the life
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Running recruitment admin from end to end: posting job ads, screening applications and booking interviews
- Doing reference checks and employment verification
- Preparing contracts and new starter paperwork
- Running inductions and making sure new people are set up in the systems on day one
- Employee lifecycle
- Processing promotions, transfers, salary changes and role changes
- Tracking probation reviews to make sure they get done
- Handling exit paperwork, offboarding and exit interviews
- Keeping the HRIS and employee files accurate and up to date
- Payroll support
- Sending payroll accurate details on starters, leavers and changes, on time
- Supporting salary packaging, benefits admin and the annual pay review
- Answering manager questions on leave and attendance
- Compliance and reporting
- Keeping records of employment agreements, policy sign-offs, visas and right to work
- Tracking licences, certifications and mandatory training
- Preparing HR reports and metrics, including turnover, absenteeism and recruitment numbers
- Keeping org charts current and supporting workforce planning data
What you'll bring
- At least 2 years in an HR administration, HR co-ordinator or HR support role
- Solid knowledge of HR admin across the employee lifecycle
- Experience using an HRIS (Employment Hero is a big plus) and strong Excel and Word skills
- High attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information
- Good organisation and time management when things move quickly
- Clear, friendly written and verbal communication
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Some exposure to payroll processes and benefits admin
- A Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in HR, Business or a related field

- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort using AI tools and technology to speed up admin work
