Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead a sizeable HR operations function in Western Sydney. You will drive the delivery of core HR services while advancing digital enablement, process improvement and service excellence across the employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage a small specialist team, ensure timely HR transactions, and coordinate with Payroll, Compliance and HRIS to deliver a seamless employee experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in HR operations or shared services within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation, enterprise agreements and compliance obligations.
• Proven track record of delivering process improvement and digital transformation outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience using HRIS and other digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Leading the HR Operations delivery and improvement portfolio, managing all Tier 0 and Tier 1 enquiries to a high standard of service and compliance.
• Overseeing daily operations, balancing team workloads, maintaining service standards and managing escalations.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with your specialist team to embed new technology and expand self-service capability.
• Ensuring robust compliance and governance across all HR Operations activity, including accurate record keeping, segregation of duties for payroll inputs and adherence to legislative and enterprise agreement requirements.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, using data to evaluate service quality, identify risk and inform decision-making.
• Partnering closely with Payroll & Compliance, HRIS & Analytics and other People functions to deliver an integrated and consistent employee experience.
• Building a high-performing team culture through strong leadership, coaching and development.

HR Operations Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced HR Operations leader to join a large, complex organisation in the professional services sector, based in Western Sydney.

This is a pivotal role within the People & Culture function, leading the delivery of core HR services while driving a broader agenda of digital enablement, process improvement and service excellence.

You will lead a small team of specialists and ensure HR transactions, compliance and employee support remain accurate, timely and consistent across the employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the HR Director, your responsibilities will include:
