Job summary

The Next Step Recruitment is recruiting for an HR Coordinator/Advisor 9-month fixed term contract in Sydney. The role blends payroll, safety and generalist HR responsibilities within a small HR team, offering exposure to a broad range of activities.

You will process payroll, support safety initiatives, recruitment and onboarding, and help with engagement initiatives while providing a responsive HR support function.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR and/or payroll is essential.
• Payroll processing experience is required.
• Exposure to workplace health and safety activities is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are important.

Responsibilities

• Processing monthly and fortnightly payroll.
• Managing payroll enquiries and payroll administration.
• Coordinating health and safety initiatives, workers compensation and return-to-work processes.
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Assisting with employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
• Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries.
• Preparing HR documentation, reports and presentations.
• Supporting learning and development activities and wider HR projects.
• Assisting with general office coordination and administration.
