Job summary

CommBank's HR Direct team is seeking a HR Direct Consultant to provide trusted, efficient HR advice to employees and people leaders across the Group, delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Your focus will be to interpret policy, handle employee lifecycle enquiries, performance matters and workplace concerns, while partnering with stakeholders to deliver practical, people-centred solutions and promote self-service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Human Resources advisory role, providing guidance on a broad range of people-related matters.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to partner effectively with leaders, employees and HR stakeholders at all levels.
• Customer-focused with the ability to understand stakeholder needs and deliver practical, people-centred solutions.
• Proven experience managing sensitive or complex employee matters, exercising sound judgement and influencing positive outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and advise diverse audiences.
• Resilient, adaptable and proactive problem solver, with experience applying HR policies, managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes through collaboration and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted, efficient and professional HR advice while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Interpret policy and support a broad range of employee lifecycle enquiries, performance management, workplace concerns and conduct matters.
• Take ownership of matters through to resolution where appropriate and enable employee and leader self-service.
• Build stakeholder capability through coaching and education and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
