Owen Daniels in Derby is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join a well-respected manufacturer on a 14-month maternity cover contract. You will handle day-to-day HR administration, support managers with employee matters, and assist with recruitment and onboarding.

The role involves maintaining HRIS records, processing changes, and providing HR policy guidance in a fast-paced environment. Flexible start times and an early finish on Fridays are offered, with a competitive salary.

HR Coordinator
Job Description

• Provide day-to-day HR administration, ensuring employee records and documentation are accurate, confidential, and maintained in line with company procedures
• Support Managers with a range of employee matters, including absence, performance, investigations, disciplinary processes, and HR policy guidance
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding, including pre-employment checks, recruitment systems, new starter documentation, probation reviews, and access arrangements
• Manage employee changes throughout the employment lifecycle, including maintaining the HRIS, processing leavers, and supporting exit processes
• Act as a key point of contact for HR queries, assist with audits and reporting, and provide wider support to the HR Business Partner and team as required

HR Coordinator
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Previous experience within an HR or people-focused administrative role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
• CIPD qualification would be beneficial but not essential
• Manufacturing background or similar would be advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships across all levels of the business
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
