Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking an HR-focused Business Analyst/Project Coordinator to join the Northwest Metro Region. The role supports strategic resource management, planning, and human resource management in a dynamic, agile workplace with flexible arrangements.

You will work across governance, analytics and reporting to drive timely, fit-for-purpose solutions. We value experience with agile practices, stakeholder engagement and the ability to handle competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in influencing business plans via strategic analysis.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to prepare comprehensive reports, plans and business cases.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, Power BI or similar analytics/reporting platforms is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clearly define expectations, allocate work, monitor performance and provide feedback to staff.
• Interpret legislation, workforce agreements, policies, and procedures and explain them to stakeholders.
• Undertake research and statistical analysis using modelling techniques on HR business drivers.
• Prepare high level reports on HR performance, identifying trends and issues.
• Develop and analyse databases for timely collection and storage of HR/statistical data.
• Monitor and report on project progress to ensure milestones are achieved in line with the Project Plan.
