JRT Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Administration to join our team across Rockhampton and Yeppoon. You will provide essential HR support for the operational workforce and manage day-to-day HR tasks.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, maintaining HR records, applying Australian employment legislation and modern awards, and supporting payroll, training, and workforce development while contributing to continuous improvement

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and systems (HRIS/ payroll integration).
  • Interpret and apply modern awards, employment legislation and other relevant legislation.
  • Support management employee relation matters, including investigations and performance management.
  • Assist with policy development, implementation, and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate training, inductions, and workforce development initiatives.

JRT Group is continuing to grow, with multiple civil projects across Rockhampton and Yeppoon. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Administration to join our team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop their HR career within a fast-paced and supportive environment.


Role Overview:

As the HR Administration, you will provide essential HR function for the operational workforce, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.


This role will support the full employee lifecycle and play a key role in ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation and modern awards.


You will work closely with management to provide practical HR advice, support workforce planning and organisational development, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR work systems and processes.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding

  • Maintain accurate HR records and systems (HRIS/ payroll integration)

  • Interpret and apply modern awards, employment legislation and other relevant legislation

  • Support management employee relation matters, including investigations and performance management

  • Assist with policy development, implementation, and compliance audits

  • Coordinate training, inductions, and workforce development initiatives

  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes in collaboration with finance / payroll items

  • Track licences, competencies, and training requirements

  • Prepare HR reports, letters, and general correspondence

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with company policies and WHS requirements

  • Contribute to HR projects, including system implementations and process improvements

  • General office and HR administrative duties as required

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of work systems and workplace culture


What We're Looking For:


  • Previous experience in a HR administration role (preferred)

  • Working knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards (preferred)

  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Professional approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with HR and payroll systems (MYOB Advanced, HR3, or similar) (preferred)

  • Experience in construction or civil industry (advantageous)

  • Ability to apply initiative and self-drive to achieve goals within time constraints
