Job summary

St George Community Housing in Sydney is seeking a strategic leader to manage vacancy operations and end-of-tenancy processes, ensuring timely readiness and equitable allocations. You will lead a diverse team across tenancy, assets, maintenance and finance to optimise portfolio performance and customer outcomes.

We value experience in social/affordable housing, strong governance, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. This permanent role involves travel across SGCH sites and portfolios.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or substantial senior leadership experience.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
• Experience leading complex social housing operations in a regulated setting.
• Strong strategic, commercial and operational capability.
• Proven stakeholder influence and people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead vacancy management across allocations, end-of-tenancy and readiness services.
• Drive performance governance and service standards to minimise vacancy days.
• Oversee fair, compliant applicant matching and tenancy offers.
• Manage the End of Tenancy budget, workforce planning and resources.
• Analyse portfolio data to identify risks and improvements.
• Build partnerships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
