Job summary

The Housing Services Officer role is a client facing position in the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing that supports the delivery of housing programs and assists individuals and families seeking housing or residing in public housing. Based in offices across Victoria, the role involves tenancy and property management and providing housing advice.

Housing Service Officers at Classification 1 develop competencies toward progression to Classification 2 as they become fully competent.

Qualifications

• Perform routine housing functions in line with established policy, procedures and standards.
• Assist in making appropriate referrals to internal or external support service providers to help clients with their housing needs.
• Undertake supervised home visits as required.
