InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader to join our luxury hotel on a full-time basis. You will oversee daily housekeeping operations and work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure smooth service delivery.

You will conduct room and public area inspections, train staff, audit performance, and drive continuous improvement to maintain immaculate cleanliness and exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our Housekeeping Department as Full-Time Housekeeping Team Leader at our beautiful luxury hotel.

Support in the coordination of the housekeeping team operation smoothly with Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Assistant Manager.

Perform comprehensive room and public area inspections, disseminating the results to both housekeeping staff and third-party cleaning contractors to drive continuous improvement in operational procedures and service quality.

Optimizing the VIP guest experience from arrival through departure, ensuring exceptional quality and meticulously fulfilling all requests.

Lead and take ownership of comprehensive housekeeping operational training programs, providing constructive feedback to team members, and participating in auditing performance to ensure objectives are consistently met high team proficiency and immaculate cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas.

Keeping cleaning equipment clean and maintained.

Reporting any maintenance concerns

Monitoring and controlling supplies and amenities to minimise wastage.

Assisting the wider Housekeeping Team as needed

What we need from you

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, making it easy for guests to approach you with concerns or compliments, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Fluency in English is essential.

Strong reading and writing abilities are important to understand mandatory training, following instructions and using chemicals correctly.

The role requires good physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for most of the day and need to bend and kneel frequently.
