Job summary

Accor operates Paradise Centre Apartments on the Gold Coast, inviting you to lead a dynamic housekeeping team in a high-volume hotel setting. You will train staff, oversee daily cleaning operations, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through proactive leadership and timely communication.

The role requires hands-on management, budget awareness, and collaboration with other departments to deliver seamless service and maintain Accor’s renowned standards of hospitality.

Qualifications

• A sharp eye for detail and previous experience in Housekeeping
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, along with a friendly and outgoing personality
• The ability to think on your feet to keep things running smoothly throughout the day
• A high standard of personal grooming and a polished appearance
• Willingness to not only lead the team but to also work alongside them to ensure their success
• Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction
• Dive in and carry out cleaning tasks across various housekeeping areas as needed
• Provide training, uphold cleanliness standards, and conduct regular inspections
• Efficiently assign tasks and oversee inventory to ensure smooth operations
• Attend to guest requests and issues promptly for a pleasant stay
• Assist with managing budgets and communicate with other departments while providing performance updates to management

In the heart of Surfers Paradise situated above the Paradise Centre Shopping Centre you will find Paradise Centre Apartments. This property contains modern one, two and three bedroom apartments a short walk from the light rail. On your days off, be a tourist and visit the Gold Coast’s iconic theme parks, bask in the sunshine on the beach, or go exploring along the hinterland trails… you will never be short of things to discover in the heart of the Gold Coast!

Purpose

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will do more than just oversee cleaning; you will inspire and motivate your team, provide valuable training and development opportunities, ensure efficient task assignment, and conduct regular room inspections. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be the driving force behind our guests' delight.
