Primary Responsibilities You will support and coordinate our housekeeping team's daily activities, ensuring a smooth workflow. Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills. Maintain high cleanliness and productivity standards, aligning with company guidelines to enhance guest experiences. Efficiently allocate rooms for team members during shifts to maintain an even workload distribution. Ensure safety standards are met, monitoring labour costs and conducting daily room inspections for quality assurance.

• A sharp eye for detail and previous leadership experience in Housekeeping

Role Location: Rockhampton

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee all Working Accommodation and Living-In Accommodation (LIA) bookings.
• Coordinate and allocate daily tasks to the Housekeeping/Cleaning team.
• Supervise daily cleaning and accommodation services across site.
• Raise work orders (WO's) for exercises and cost recovery activities.
• Ensure accommodation facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Monitor compliance with HSEQ and Defence requirements.
• Complete reporting, record keeping and administrative tasks.
• Support customer service and stakeholder engagement across site.
• Assist the Housekeeping/Cleaning team with operational duties during peak periods and as required.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a housekeeping, accommodation or cleaning supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Experience managing accommodation bookings and service delivery.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and allocate tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence Security Clearance.
• Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.

We are recruiting full‑time Housekeeping Supervisors on a 2:1 roster. Candidates may be based in Mackay, Emerald, Rockhampton and surrounding regions on a DIDO arrangement, or in Brisbane and surrounding suburbs on a FIFO arrangement. Working closely with the Village Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing the day‑to‑day operations of our Housekeeping Department while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence.

Key Duties:

• Implement and control the department budget.
• Implement and review service standards.
• Assist the Human Resources team in the recruitment and selection of team members.
• Ensure effectiveness of training, performance evaluations and counselling of staff for the department.
• Ensure a strong interface with Front Office and other managers as required.
• Provide leadership, support and coordinate site staff in maintaining a customer focused and safe working environment.

• Minimum 2yrs proven management/supervisor experience in housekeeping and cleaning services.

• Proven leadership skills and a strong decision-making capability.
• Lead by example and model behaviours that underpin a constructive safety culture.
• Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
• Must have a valid police check issued within the last 12 months or be willing to obtain one.
• Must pass a Pre‑employment Medical Test, Functional Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screen.
• Driver's License/ Photo ID required.
• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions‑focused approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.60 per hour
Sunday: $47.39 per hour
