Job summary

The EQ Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Housekeeping Attendants to join our pre-opening Housekeeping team in Perth, WA. You will help ensure guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities are maintained to luxury standards.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will work closely with the Housekeeping and Rooms teams to prepare spaces for opening and to service guest rooms following opening.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Physically able to perform housekeeping duties.
• Good communication skills and guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and operational areas to hotel standards.
• Replenish guest amenities, linen and supplies as required.
• Ensure guest rooms are clean, well presented and ready for guest arrival.
• Clean and maintain public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Report maintenance issues, defects, hazards or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with linen distribution, stock replenishment and other housekeeping support duties.

Housekeeping Attendant – Full Time, Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel

The EQ Hotel – Perth, WA

The EQ Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Housekeeping Attendants to join our pre-opening Housekeeping team.

These are practical, hands‑on roles supporting the cleanliness, presentation, comfort and day‑to‑day operation of our hotel. You will help ensure that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities are maintained to a high standard.

We welcome applications from candidates with previous hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience, as well as motivated people with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

About the Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will work closely with the Housekeeping and Rooms teams to ensure every area of the hotel is clean, well presented and ready for guests.

You will be involved in pre‑opening readiness, including preparing guest rooms, public areas, linen rooms and operational spaces for opening. Following opening, you will clean and service guest rooms and hotel facilities to luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and operational areas to hotel standards.
• Replenish guest amenities, linen and supplies as required.
• Ensure guest rooms are clean, well presented and ready for guest arrival.
• Clean and maintain public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Report maintenance issues, defects, hazards or safety concerns promptly.
• Handle guest belongings and lost property in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Assist with linen distribution, stock replenishment and other housekeeping support duties.
• Support laundry operations where required.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, trolleys, pantries and storage areas in a clean and organised condition.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.
• Assist with pre‑opening cleaning, room set‑up, inspections and operational‑readiness tasks.
• Follow all WHS procedures, safe work practices and hygiene standards.

About You

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, Room Attendant, Cleaner or similar role is preferred, ideally in a hotel or commercial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
• Reliable, positive and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a guest‑focused approach.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual housekeeping duties.
• Well presented, organised and safety focused.
• Available to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, in line with your employment arrangement.
