Job summary

The EQ Hotel in Perth is seeking an experienced Chief Concierge to lead the Concierge, Porter and Valet teams ahead of our grand opening. You will ensure a warm welcome, personalised recommendations and seamless service, acting as the local expert on Perth dining, attractions and transport.

This role requires strong leadership, a passion for guest service, and the ability to establish pre-opening standards, train staff, recruit rosters and build trusted partnerships with local partners.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a concierge team in a luxury hotel.
• Ability to recruit, train and roster guest-facing staff.
• Strong knowledge of Perth dining, attractions and transport.
• Les Clefs d’Or membership or progress toward it.
• Proficient with hotel PMS and guest-request platforms.
• Flexible to rotate weekends and public holidays.

The EQ Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Chief Concierge to join our team ahead of the opening of Perth’s newest luxury hotel.

About the Role

As Chief Concierge, you will lead the Concierge, Porter and Valet team, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, thoughtful local recommendations and seamless assistance throughout their stay. You will be the hotel’s expert on Perth, building strong relationships with local restaurants, attractions, transport providers and tourism partners.

From coordinating airport transfers and restaurant reservations to overseeing luggage, valet services and guest requests, you will play an important role in establishing and delivering the hotel’s luxury service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support and develop the Concierge, Porter and Valet team.

Recruit, train, roster, coach and manage the Concierge, Porter and Valet team.

Develop and implement pre-opening procedures, service standards and training programs for Concierge operations.

Establish and maintain trusted relationships with local restaurants, attractions, transport providers and other preferred local partners.

Create a warm, welcoming and personalised experience for every guest.

Assist guests with restaurant reservations, transport, travel arrangements and local recommendations.

Coordinate luggage delivery, storage, parking and valet services.

Support VIP arrivals, special requests and welcome arrangements.

Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, concerns and service requests.

Work closely with Front Office and operational teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Maintain a positive, professional and solutions-focused team environment.

Skills and Experience

Previous supervisory or leadership experience within Concierge operations at a luxury hotel or similar environment.

Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, train, roster and motivate a guest-facing team.

Strong local knowledge of Perth, including dining, entertainment, attractions and transport options.

Les Clefs d’Or membership, or demonstrated progress towards membership, would be highly regarded.

Confidence using hotel property-management systems, guest-request platforms and digital transport or booking tools.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for guest service.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain calm under pressure and resolve guest concerns effectively.

A current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence is essential.
