InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Full-time Reservations Agent in Canberra. You will support day-to-day Reservations operations, manage bookings, and maintain accurate records while delivering outstanding customer service with a professional, team-oriented approach.

Ideal candidates have hospitality education and front office experience, familiarity with Opera PMS, and strong computer skills. Australian working rights are required to join our diverse, welcoming team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent with 2 years front office experience.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication across phone, email & face-to-face interactions.
• Problem solving and organizational abilities.
• Tech-savvy with good math and computer skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Australian working rights required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operation of Reservations Department to optimize occupancy and ADR.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and correspondence.
• Provide exceptional guest service via phone, email and in person.
• Liaise with departments and guests to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and resolve to satisfaction.
• Create reports and stay up-to-date with policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of standards and procedures across the team.
