Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Reservations Agent for Crowne Plaza Geelong to deliver exceptional guest journeys from the initial enquiry. You will manage bookings, upsell, and coordinate with sales, central reservations, and travel partners to ensure accurate rates and seamless experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous reservations or customer service experience, ideally within a hotel environment.
• Proficiency in Opera Cloud or similar Reservations Systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous.
• Availability to work across Monday to Saturday and Public Holidays; Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services, room types, local attractions, promotions, rates, and IHG One Rewards.
• Provide guests with information and recommendations to enhance their stay.
• Manage reservations for individuals and groups via phone, email, and internal channels.
• Process reservations from Sales, Central Reservations, travel agents, and wholesalers with accurate rates and billing.
• Monitor occupancy, review reports, and provide insights to management.
• Prepare reservation and sales reports as required.
• Maximise revenue through upselling and proactive sales activities.
• Build relationships with guests, bookers, travel agents, and stakeholders.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Support Front Office during peak periods as needed.
