HOTEL / MOTEL MANAGER – REGIONAL NSW

Salary: Approximately AUD $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Our clients are currently looking for an experienced Hotel / Motel Manager to join their hospitality business in Regional New South Wales.

This is a full-time position offering a salary of approximately AUD $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

For a suitable candidate who meets the relevant eligibility requirements, Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa sponsorship may be available.

Applicants must currently be in Australia and hold valid work rights.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the hotel/motel, ensuring high standards of customer service, staff performance, accommodation services and overall business operations.

The role requires a hands-on manager who is capable of managing staff, dealing with guests, supervising daily operations and ensuring the property operates efficiently.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties may include:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel or motel

• Planning and supervising accommodation, reception and guest services

• Managing reservations, bookings, check-ins and check-outs

• Ensuring a high standard of customer service

• Responding to guest enquiries, complaints and special requests

• Supervising and coordinating hotel/motel staff

• Recruiting, training and monitoring employees

• Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties

• Monitoring staff performance

• Ensuring rooms and common areas meet required presentation and cleanliness standards

• Coordinating housekeeping and maintenance requirements

• Liaising with suppliers and contractors

• Monitoring stock, supplies and operating costs

• Managing budgets and controlling expenses

• Monitoring occupancy levels and accommodation performance

• Assisting with pricing and room-rate strategies

• Maintaining operational and financial records

• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

• Ensuring compliance with applicable hospitality and accommodation regulations

• Implementing procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction

• Managing problems and emergencies arising during hotel/motel operations

• Reporting to business owners or senior management regarding property performance

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have:

• A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business/Hospitality or a closely related field

• Relevant experience working in hotel, motel or accommodation management

• Strong staff-management and organisational skills

• Good customer-service skills

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to manage the daily operation of an accommodation business

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for operational matters

Previous experience as a Hotel Manager, Motel Manager, Accommodation Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager or similar position will be highly regarded.
