Job summary

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Cook to join Culcairn Hotel in Culcairn. The successful candidate will work with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver high-quality meals, maintain hygiene, and support daily prep.

Requirements include experience in a commercial kitchen, passion for food presentation, and strong communication skills. Shifts include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw ingredients and meals to high standard.
• Operate ovens, grills, fryers safely.
• Cook a variety of dishes using menu techniques (roasting, frying, boiling, grilling).
• Season and present meals attractively.
• Ensure proper storage and FIFO stock rotation.
• Assist with daily prep and contribute menu ideas.
