W Sydney located at 31 Wheat Road is now casting for a Purchasing Officer. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this integral role will support the Purchasing & Receiving function in the hotel procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Identify potential suppliers and research their offers; Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers; Create purchase orders on Birchstreet and ensure they are approved; Track orders by monitoring delivery status

Responsabilités

• Identify potential suppliers and research their offers;
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers;
• Create purchase orders on Birchstreet and ensure they are approved;
• Track orders by monitoring delivery status and ensure they are no delays;
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and reorder supplies as needed;
• Review and approve invoices for payment;
• Resolve any issues that may arise with suppliers or deliveries;
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations for cost savings to meet financial objectives;
• Collaborate with other departments to identify purchasing & recieving needs;
• Maintain records and keep records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
