Job summary

Club Hotel & Commercial Hotel in Chinchilla is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across bar, restaurant, accommodation and entertainment. You’ll partner with the Venue Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive smooth venue operations.

You’ll lead by example, mentor a close-knit team, manage stock and scheduling, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• A proven leader with previous experience in hospitality management.
• Current QLD RSA, RSG, RMLV, Approved Managers License & CLO.
• A positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, close-knit team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle problems on the spot.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A solid understanding of hospitality regulations, financial management, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service in our bar, restaurant, and accommodation.
• Inspire and mentor your team, driving a positive and productive culture focused on excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Be the point of contact for guest inquiries, ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience, from check-in to checkout.
• Assist in managing stock, scheduling, and staff performance while maintaining efficient operations and adhering to budget targets.
• Assist in ensuring the venue adheres to health and safety guidelines, licensing laws, and all regulatory requirements.
