Job summary

The Commercial Hotel Charters Towers is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a lively multi-department venue in outback Queensland. You’ll steer hospitality operations across the bar, bistro, and gaming areas with a focus on service and efficiency.

With a 10:00pm closing time, the role offers predictable, early finishes and a chance to shape the guest experience in a historic regional pub. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence are required, along with hands-on leadership and a commitment

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership across multi-department venue.
• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving stock.
• Experience supervising bar, bistro or gaming floor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead busy lunch and dinner service in a high-volume pub.
• Oversee public bar, gaming and retail drive-thru operations.
• Support Publican to run the venue safely, smoothly and with a great vibe.
• Handle hiccups proactively and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Be the face of the pub when management is absent.
