Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for Chardons Hotel on Brisbane's south side. You will lead a bustling floor, supervise a team, and ensure exceptional hospitality across pub, bistro, gaming, and retail operations.

You will work closely with the Publican to keep the venue running safely and with a great vibe, respond quickly to hiccups, and demonstrate strong leadership and people skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
• Hands-on hospitality leadership with ability to manage a large team in a fast-paced venue.
• Proven ability to maintain elite standards and deliver great hospitality on every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and maintain service levels during shifts.
• Learn the ropes of Publican duties while stepping up into a leadership role.
• Address hiccups quickly to prevent issues and maintain operations.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most consistent and fast-paced venues on Brisbane's south side? The Chardons Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"Chardons" is an absolute engine room. Whether it's a bustling weekend crowd watching the sports, a fast-paced lunch rush in the bistro, or managing our premium gaming and retail operations, this venue requires a leader who loves being in the thick of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our regulars receive great hospitality on every shift.

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
