Bayswater Bar & Grill in Urangan, Queensland, is seeking a Duty Manager to lead shifts, support the Venue Manager, and ensure smooth service with a focus on safety and guest experience.

You will manage opening/closing, oversee cash handling, and uphold standards across food & beverage, gaming, TAB and KENO, while coaching the team and maintaining a positive work environment. Availability for evenings and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a busy licensed venue.
• Confident decision-maker on shift and able to support the team.
• Experience with gaming, TAB or KENO is valuable.

It’s a venue that welcomes both locals and visitors, and we’re looking for a Duty Manager who enjoys being on the floor and making every shift run well.You’ll support the Venue Manager with day-to-day operations and lead the team during your shifts. You’ll be a calm, hands-on presence across the venue, helping deliver great service while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards.**What you’ll be doing*** Leading shifts and supporting team members through busy service periods.* Opening and closing the venue, including cash handling and end-of-shift procedures.* Maintaining standards across food and beverage, gaming, TAB and KENO.* Coaching team members and creating a positive team culture.* Responding to guest feedback and resolving issues as they arise.* Maintaining liquor, gaming, food safety and workplace safety standards.**About you**You’ll bring supervisory experience in a busy pub, hotel, club or similar licensed venue. You’re confident making decisions on shift, supporting your team and stepping in wherever needed. Experience with gaming, TAB or KENO would be particularly valuable.You’ll need current Queensland RSA and RSG qualifications, with any additional required training completed before starting.
