Job summary

InterContinental Perth, part of IHG, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The role blends supervisory and administrative duties to support HR initiatives and colleague engagement across the hotel.

You will partner with leaders to ensure efficient HR processes, onboarding, records management, and compliance with hospitality awards and laws. This position requires Australian working rights and 1+ year generalist HR experience in AU/NZ.

Qualifications

• Full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship)
• Minimum 1 year experience in generalist HR role within Australia/NZ
• Strong time management with ability to work under pressure and influence others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines with attention to detail
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or Hospitality Management is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR activities across the hotel to support business goals and values
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes to attract, select and retain talent
• Supervise employee records in partnership with the Administrative Assistant and ensure policy compliance
• Deliver and promote HR programs, tools and employer branding initiatives
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, workers compensation claims, and drive hotelwide safety culture
• Build strong internal and external relationships to support the hotel’s people strategy
• Ensure compliance with applicable awards and employment legislation
