Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking an Education Support Officer for Tourism & Hospitality, with location negotiable across NSW. The role strengthens student support services in Cuisine and Hospitality and includes supporting learners in both in-person and virtual environments.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Hospitality Management, strong hospitality industry experience, and proficiency with MS Office, LMS, and Microsoft Teams to assist students and colleagues effectively.

Qualifications

• Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications including a Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Foster engagement, remove barriers to learning, and ensure positive student outcomes.
• Assist students in navigating learning materials and developing practical skills.
• Provide administrative and learning support across face-to-face and virtual delivery modes.
