Job summary

Calvary Bruce Private Hospital in Bruce (ACT) is seeking casual Hospitality Assistants to deliver exceptional service across catering and housekeeping. You will support patients, visitors and staff, and may drive between facilities for catering tasks.

The role requires a current ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain, a valid driver’s license for catering duties, and strong knowledge of health and safety practices. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Full driver's license for catering position due to driving hospital buggy.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised.
• Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service.
• Commitment to ethical practices.
• Ability to interpret MSDS, labels and safe work practices.
• Have, or be willing to obtain, Certificate II / III in Health Support Services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of service to all stakeholders including patients, their guests and staff of Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.
• Catering duties including delivery of food to patients, cleaning kitchen & equipment, stock rotation, chef support, and possible driving between facilities.
• Housekeeping duties including cleaning patient rooms and common areas including offices.

Hospitality Assistant - Bruce Private Hospital, ACT

About the role

As a member of the Hospitality Services Division which incorporates both the Catering and Housekeeping/Environmental Services Departments, you will be required to deliver a high standard of service to all stakeholders including patients, their guests and staff of Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.

In the Catering Department this incorporates delivery of food to patients, Cleaning Kitchen & Equipment, Stock Rotation, Chef Support and possibility of driving between facilities. In the Housekeeping/Environmental Services Department, this incorporates high levels of cleaning patient rooms and common areas including offices.
