Job summary

Calvary Bruce Private Hospital in ACT is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to support Catering and Housekeeping/Environmental Services. You will help deliver meals, clean areas, manage stock, and assist chefs, with opportunities to cross-train across facilities.

The role requires ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain, a full driver’s license for hospital buggy driving, knowledge of OH&S, teamwork, and a commitment to customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Full driver's license for catering position due to driving hospital buggy.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised.
• Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service.
• Commitment to ethical practices.
• Ability to interpret MSDS, labels and safe work practices.
• Willingness to obtain Certificate II/III in Health Support Services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to patients and assist in the Catering Department.
• Clean Kitchen & Equipment and assist with stock rotation.
• Support chefs and provide driving between facilities.
• In Housekeeping/Environmental Services, clean patient rooms and common areas.

Hospitality Assistant - Bruce Private Hospital, ACT

About the role

As a member of the Hospitality Services Division which incorporates both the Catering and Housekeeping/Environmental Services Departments, you will be required to deliver a high standard of service to all stakeholders including patients, their guests and staff of Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.

In the Catering Department this incorporates delivery of food to patients, Cleaning Kitchen & Equipment, Stock Rotation, Chef Support and possibility of driving between facilities. In the Housekeeping/Environmental Services Department, this incorporates high levels of cleaning patient rooms and common areas including offices.

About you

• Current ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain
