Job summary

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is seeking a Casual General Services Assistant to support catering and housekeeping services across the hospital. You will assist with daily catering coordination, cleaning duties, and general tasks to ensure a high-standard patient and staff experience.

Ideal candidates will have completed secondary schooling, can work alone or in a team, prioritise tasks with attention to detail, and communicate effectively within a busy healthcare environment.

About the role

The General Services Assistant is responsible for providing hospitality services within the hospital including Housekeeping, Catering and other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the co-ordination and provision of high quality catering services within the Catering Department
• Accountable for the co-ordination and provision of high quality cleaning services within the Housekeeping Department
• Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant Government Health policies and procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct and industrial agreements.
• Accountable for completing duties as delegated.
• Daily duties as per job routine
• Completion of daily check lists if applicable.
• Respond to routine correspondence as directed and undertake special projects and tasks as required.
